Don't incur His Wrath

“The horn of Moab is cut off, and his arm is broken, saith the LORD. Make ye him drunken: for he magnified himself against the LORD: Moab also shall wallow in his vomit, and he also shall be in derision. And Moab shall be destroyed from being a people, because he hath magnified himself against the LORD.” Jeremiah 48:25-26, 42 KJV https://bible.com/bible/1/jer.48.25-42.kjv

Don't incur His Wrath

The Bible tells us that the fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom. Sometimes, when we have certain positions of influence and blessings and are surrounded by praise singers we start to feel self-sufficient and act like we don’t need God. In the Bible reading today, God was meting out judgement to Moab and the consistent theme of their wrongdoing was that they had magnified themselves against the Lord of host.  The rootcause of their pride was identified earlier in the same chapter as a trust in their works and treasures. Our God is sovereign and rules in the affairs of man. He is the owner of life and everything else. No matter who we become, we must never lose sight of this fact. There are many examples of those who God dealt with in the Bible and in present day because they started to feel sufficient and in some cases tried to play God.  Be humble and he shall continue to lift you up.

Prayer: Dear Lord, thank you because the earth is yours and the fullness thereof. Thank you for the blessings that you release to us from your storehouse. Please Lord teach me to remain humble always so that I can ride on the path of your lifting in Jesus name 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾.
