Don't judge the end by the beginning

“And so it was, that, while they were there, the days were accomplished that she should be delivered. And she brought forth her firstborn son, and wrapped him in swaddling clothes, and laid him in a manger; because there was no room for them in the inn. And this shall be a sign unto you; Ye shall find the babe wrapped in swaddling clothes, lying in a manger.” Luke 2:6-7, 12 KJV

Don't judge the end by the beginning

God is so intentional. His ways are past finding out. For example, when the shepherds received the news of the birth of Jesus, they were informed that he would be in a manger as highlighted in today’s Bible reading. A baby in a manger is so unique that it will be hard for the shepherds to miss how uncommon this is. The savior of the world had been born and yet he was introduced to the world in a place of humble beginnings. Hence, no one could attribute his kingship and superiority to any humanly derived authority.  This is why God consistently uses the foolish things of this world to confound the wise. This is because the final outcomes will always be clear to all that this has to be the hand of God. Has He given you a word? Has He promised you an expected end? The beginnings may not look like it but that is the intentionality of God. Imagine Elijah being sent to a widow that was preparing her last meal to die. Yet God provided sustenance through her for the entire period of famine. Don’t ever judge your final outcomes from your initial experiences.  The all-knowing one who controls times and seasons does wondrous things in his own time and in his own way so that all the glory will be attributed to God.

Prayer: Dear Lord, thank you because you own the cattle on the thousand hills and the silver and gold belong to you. I come before you afresh seeking your guidance. Please lead me in your own way into the glory of my expected end in Jesus name 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾. ‎
