Be careful of losing your connection to the most important source of protection and flourishing. It’s often downhill from that point. The Bible tells us that as they refused to retain God in their knowledge, he gave them over to a reprobate mind to do the things that were not convenient. The Bible reading today provides an example of that.  Because King Zedekiah continued in the ways of his predecessors by disregarding God, we are told that through the anger of God, he started to misbehave such that he rebelled against Babylon who was controlling them at the time. That led to the death of the king and utter destruction of the land and the temple. He knew how powerful Babylon was but he was in a roll because he had triggered God’s displeasure despite years of warning in land.  Don’t take God for granted, it’s a slippery slope.

Prayer: Dear God, thank you for your lovingkindness. Thank you for your mercy that prevails over judgement. Please Lord help me by your mercies to stay focused on you and to retrace my steps always to the center of your will in Jesus name 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾.
