Don't rely on your strength
”Now I know that the LORD is greater than all gods: for in the thing wherein they dealt proudly he was above them.“ Exodus 18:11 KJV https://bible.com/bible/1/exo.18.11.kjv

God specializes in using the foolish things of this world to confound the wise, the weak things to confound the strong and so on, so that no man can boast before him. Besides, the Bible asks us that what do we have that we have not received so why are we boastful. In the Bible reading today, Moses’ father-in-law, the priest of Midian came to visit with Moses and was amazed at the great deliverances that God performed on behalf of Moses and the Israelites. In acknowledgement of the miraculous way in which God delivered Israel, he said that indeed God was above all gods and, importantly, that God had shown that he was above them in the very thing that they dealt proudly. The Lord Almighty performs certain miracles from time to time to remind us that he indeed rules in the affairs of men. So the question for you today is: Are you acknowledging his Lordship or are you boasting in your strength and sufficiency? It is a dangerous path to be on when you don’t acknowledge God because when he does teach you it could be humbling.
Prayer: Dear Lord, thank you because you are the Almighty God. Thank you because the cattle on the thousand hills are yours and you control the silver and the gold and everything on earth. I acknowledge your Lordship in every aspect of my life, please show forth your glory to the world through my deliverances in Jesus name 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾.
