Don't sell it
“A wise servant shall have rule over a son that causeth shame, And shall have part of the inheritance among the brethren. A foolish son is a grief to his father, And bitterness to her that bare him.” Proverbs 17:2, 25 KJV https://bible.com/bible/1/pro.17.2-25.kjv

Don’t trade your inheritance. The Bible tells us of the story of the prodigal son who took his portion of his father’s inheritance while his father was still alive and went out to a far country living recklessly. He ended up dining with pigs until he came to to his senses and realized that even his father’s servants wouldn’t be in such a state. Thank God for grace and mercy, when he returned to his father, he was welcome with open arms. However, we can’t tell if he will have anything left for an inheritance. The Bible reading today is a great way to summarize the story as we are told that a son that causes shame will be ruled by his father’s servants and the servants may in fact get the inheritance. As children of God, there are many kingdom resources and rights available to us. It is however up to us to confirm if we will be the real beneficiaries. If we live according to his dictates, then we will benefit all that is accruable to us. However, if we take to sin and disgraceful living, we can forfeit all that benefit. So, think deep and choose wisely.
Prayer: Dear Lord, thank you for your faithfulness always. Thank you because you own the cattle on the thousand hills, and silver and gold are yours. Please Lord, I come before you to seek your face. Please have mercy on me and restore me to the center of your perfect will for me so that I can thrive from the benefits of a life in whom you are well pleased 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾.
