Don't settle in too early

“Now Joshua was old and stricken in years; and the LORD said unto him, Thou art old and stricken in years, and there remaineth yet very much land to be possessed. This is the land that yet remaineth: all the borders of the Philistines, and all Geshuri, All the inhabitants of the hill country from Lebanon unto Misrephoth-maim, and all the Sidonians, them will I drive out from before the children of Israel: only divide thou it by lot unto the Israelites for an inheritance, as I have commanded thee.” Joshua 13:1-2, 6 KJV https://bible.com/bible/1/jos.13.1-6.kjv

Don't settle in too early

The assignment is not over until the owner of the assignment says so. In today’s Bible reading, God was speaking to Joshua about being old and stricken in age but that there was still a lot of lands to cover. The preceding chapter highlighted the various lands that Israel conquered under Joshua’s leadership, counting about thirty one. One would imagine that for a people who did not have a possession for several years that it would be considered luxury and enough.  However, the promise that God made to Abraham was that as far as his eyes could see was going to be given to him and his descendants. God is the all-sufficient one who is able to do immeasurably more than we may ask or imagine. Do you feel like you have accomplished a lot? Do not settle in early, check with the owner of the assignment. He is the only one who is able to certify it done.

Prayer:  Dear Lord thank you because you are the one who commanded us to go forth and multiply and replenish the earth. Lord thank you for the assignments over my life. Lord I received renewed grace to fully birth every vision and assignment that you have given unto me to your glory in Jesus name 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾. ‎
