Don't take His Grace for Granted
“Fear thou not, O Jacob my servant, saith the LORD: for I am with thee; for I will make a full end of all the nations whither I have driven thee: but I will not make a full end of thee, but correct thee in measure; yet will I not leave thee wholly unpunished.” Jeremiah 46:28 KJV https://bible.com/bible/1/jer.46.28.kjv

It is a privilege to be branded as God’s own because for his name’s sake, he will often temper judgement with mercy. However, his guidance remains that obedience is better than sacrifice. In the Bible reading today, God was pronouncing judgement on Egypt where some of the remnants of Israel had gone into for refuge despite being warned by God not to go. The destruction of Egypt was to be very devastating as highlighted in this chapter. However, God was saying to the Israelites that while the nations that they had been driven into would be destroyed, they would not be completely destroyed. But guess what? They weren’t going scot free either. They were to be corrected in measure. This speaks to the warning in the Bible about not taking the grace of God for granted because even though mercy may prevail over judgement, the scars may remain. With privilege comes responsibility. Use wisely the privilege of the coverage that God gives to his own.
Prayer: Dear Lord thank you because you are indeed plenteous in mercies. Thank you for your love towards us your children always. Lord, we come to you repentant of all past acts of disobedience, please restore us in your mercies in Jesus name 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾.
