Don't wait till it's too late
“At that day shall a man look to his Maker, and his eyes shall have respect to the Holy One of Israel. And he shall not look to the altars, the work of his hands, neither shall respect that which his fingers have made, either the groves, or the images.” Isaiah 17:7-8 KJV https://bible.com/bible/1/isa.17.7-8.kjv

Why wait until the day of challenges to seek God? To seek your maker, the one whose hands are always outstretched in an invitation to fellowship with us his creation. Often, the natural response when all else fails is for individuals to then turn to God. Rather than make him our first port of call when things are rosy or even at the earliest sign of a deviation, we wait till things are going out of hand. It makes it feel like a call for service to God as opposed to a relationship with him as intended. In the Bible reading today, the day of desolation of Israel was described where their harvest would fail and so many challenges will occur and then it was reckoned that on that day, their gaze will shift away from the things their hands had made that had previously been a distraction to the one who created them in the first place. The dominion that we have in the Lord as intended is available only in the presence of God. Why don’t you take your place and navigate life from a place of dominion as opposed to a desperate call for help when that which is supposed to be dominated starts to oppress us. Take your rightful place! Don’t wait till it’s too late!!
Prayer: Dear Lord, thank you because you rule in the affairs of men and you grant dominion to your elect. Please Lord, I look to you afresh. I seek to abide at your feet so that I can thrive in the dominion that you have already got for me. Please accept me into the fellowship of your presence and let the power and glory from a life of fellowship with you be evident for all to see in Jesus name 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾.
