The psalmist says that he who dwells in the secret place of the most high shall abide under the shadow of the almighty. There is a procedure to it as emphasized in today’s Bible reading. The beauty and instructions experienced in the presence of God is a preservation and protection against the time of evil. Often when the evil has arrived is when most people start to seek God... Well, God is merciful and he disburses his mercy store as he pleases and so some have been saved at that time while some are consumed because they had no protection prior or they don’t even know where to go in the times of trouble. Think about the story of Noah and the Ark in the Bible. Those who walked into the ark before the rains were protected from the flood others who were trying to get in after the reality of the flooding hit, could not make it. Are you looking for the indications of rain before seeking cover? It may be too late... Seek and know the cover in advance of the rainy day.
