God's Glory - An attractor
”Arise, shine; for thy light is come, and the glory of the LORD is risen upon thee. For, behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, and gross darkness the people: but the LORD shall arise upon thee, and his glory shall be seen upon thee. And the Gentiles shall come to thy light, and kings to the brightness of thy rising. A little one shall become a thousand, and a small one a strong nation: I the LORD will hasten it in his time.“ Isaiah 60:1-3, 22 KJV https://bible.com/bible/1/isa.60.1-22.kjv

The darker the darkness the higher the effect of light. The Bible reading today tells us to arise and shine because our light has come. In addition, we are told that there will be gross darkness over the earth but because God will arise for us his glory will be seen. Recall that we are created to bring glory to God and for his pleasure and once his glory shines on you, everything else starts to flow towards the glory. The glory of the Lord upon an individual is an attractor of persons and blessings. If in doubt, recall that when God’s glory came upon Solomon in terms of the exceeding wisdom that he had, Kings and Queens from far and near sought him out and bringing with them all sorts of treasures. This is why the Bible’s emphasis on the priority of our lives is clear. He says seek ye first the kingdom of God and his righteousness and every other thing will be added unto you. Once God finds you an acceptable vessel, he puts his glory upon you and the rest, they say, is history.
Prayer: Dear Lord, thank you because you are the mighty and majestic God who is plenteous in glory. Lord, please show me your glory and fill me with your glory so that the world can see your glory revealed in me and be drawn to the light of the gospel in Jesus name 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾.
