Guard the Lord's Presence

“Defile not therefore the land which ye shall inhabit, wherein I dwell: for I the LORD dwell among the children of Israel.” Numbers 35:34 KJV https://bible.com/bible/1/num.35.34.kjv

Guard the Lord's Presence

God’s habitation must be kept in pristine conditions. Our God is holy and so his dwelling place must not be defiled. In today’s Bible reading, God was speaking specifically to the Israelites about the refuge cities and the requirements for dealing with bloodshed intentionally or unintentionally. The chapter concludes with a commandment to keep God’s dwelling place amongst them undefiled. What does this mean as a current day Christian? Do you know that your heart is a dwelling place for God?  The Bible tells us that we are God’s temple and that is why we are guided to guard our hearts with all diligence because out of it proceeds the issues of life. If it’s not maintained in a condition for the Most High God then you may as well have opened it up for the devil and his cohorts. I can assure you that those are guests that you don’t want at the source of your life’s directions. If in doubt, think about King Saul who lost the presence of God and went into depression. Be wise and protect the dwelling of God in you.

Prayer: Dear Lord, thank you because you are the Almighty God who reigns and rules in the affairs of men. Lord, I yield my life and body to you afresh. Please dwell in me and let the glory of your presence radiate through all spheres on my life in Jesus name 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾. ‎
