Has he Commanded you?

“They have seen vanity and lying divination, saying, The LORD saith: and the LORD hath not sent them: and they have made others to hope that they would confirm the word. Have ye not seen a vain vision, and have ye not spoken a lying divination, whereas ye say, The LORD saith it; albeit I have not spoken?” Ezekiel 13:6-7 KJV https://bible.com/bible/1/ezk.13.6-7.kjv

Has he Commanded you?

Be careful of reporting what God has not said. The Bible tells us that heaven and earth will pass away but not one word that proceeds out of the mouth of the Lord will go without fulfilling the purpose for which it has been sent. This is why we must be careful as children of God to report it as it is and be silent when he does not speak. In the Bible reading today, God was angry with the false prophets who prophesy peace when in fact, they should be prophesying war.  This is particularly important as seen in the case of the people of Nineveh that God sent Jonah to. He sent him with a message of impending judgement which the people took seriously and changed their ways. Imagine that they had those who were reassuring them of peace despite their sinful life. They might never come to repentance and the destruction would have hit them.  Everything God does and says is for a purpose. Be careful not to pervert the  message. It is dangerous to both the message carrier and the recipient.

Prayer: Dear Lord, thank you because you continue to rule in the affairs of men. Please Lord, help me to see that which you will have me see, hear that which you’ll have me hear and give me the boldness to say only that which you would have me say to the glory of your name alone 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾.
