Do you know the word for yourself? Have you had a personal encounter with the God of the word? Do you recognize God’s speaking word for yourself. The Bible reading today shows us that it’s possible to be doing what is right by following the instructions of the leaders of faith that have gone ahead of us but something changes when you discover the word for yourself. King Josiah had come into reign on the heels of a king that had done wrong things in the sight of God but he had set out to do right according to the ways of David. In the process of doing right according to what he had learnt of the ways of David, he had pulled down the idols places of worship and commissioned the repair of the temple and that was when he encountered the word - the book of the law. He then realized how far the nation had drifted and the grevious consequences coming their way. A new zeal came upon him. Unfortunately, God’s mind was made up regarding the punishment but he preserved the king and his reign not to witness and partake of the impending punishment.  Discovering God for yourself is a preservation for you and for those for which you are sent. Put in the work today to know God afresh.

Prayer: Dear Lord, thank you for your faithfulness. Thank you because you are plenteous in mercies. Please Lord help me to know you. Grant me the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of you. Let your word be a preservation for me and my generation as we find you in Jesus name 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾.
