How much do you seek God?
“I beseech thee, O Lord, remember now how I have walked before thee in truth and with a perfect heart, and have done that which is good in thy sight. And Hezekiah wept sore. And it came to pass, afore Isaiah was gone out into the middle court, that the word of the Lord came to him, saying, Turn again, and tell Hezekiah the captain of my people, Thus saith the Lord, the God of David thy father, I have heard thy prayer, I have seen thy tears: behold, I will heal thee: on the third day thou shalt go up unto the house of the Lord.” 2 Kings 20:3-5 KJV https://bible.com/bible/1/2ki.20.3-5.kjv

The prayer that moves God is one that is strongly anchored on a strong relationship with God. The Bible tells us that God knows his sheep and his sheep know him. In the Bible reading today, king Hezekiah of Judah was sick and God had sent word to him that he was going to die. But he reminded God of how he had walked with a perfect heart before him. There are very few people that can boldly make such claims. Even before the prophet left the Palace, God had reversed the decision. We see many instances in the journey of the Israelites to the promised land where Moses was able to convince God otherwise at the times he wanted to destroy the Israelites. We also know that Abraham negotiated with God for Sodom and Gomorrah even though they eventually did not meet the criteria. What all these people had in common was a strong relationship preceding the actual request. The Bible tells us to seek God while he may still be found. The outcome of the reversal of the verdict for Hezekiah may be questioned in some quarters around if it was truly the right thing for him ultimately but what is not debatable is the prerequisite that enables a true worshipper to move the hand of God. Load your clouds in advance and water your grounds in advance.
Prayer: Dear God, thank you for your awesomeness and supremacy. I come before you afresh to dedicate my life to you. Please accept me and let me be known of you, so that you can hear my prayers in time of need 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾
