The Bible tells us that anyone that sets his hands on the plough and looks back is not fit for the kingdom of God. We are also told that it is better for you not to have known the way of righteousness  than to know it and yet turn our back to it. So was the case of Saul the king of Israel in the Bible reading today. He was anointed and became King of Israelite when he had no inclination that it was possible but then he got carried away with the perks of the position and an erroneous value measure - the voice of the people over the voice of God. He ended up having to go to familiar spirits to seek instruction and ultimately his life ended badly with so much disgrace alongside the death of his sons in enemy territories.  Are you still on the path of life? Or are you getting complacent? Have you shifted focus from the measurement system of heaven? Remember that the foundation of the Lord standeth sure and he knows those that are his? Retrace your steps today into the coverage of the Almighty God.
