Is God's Word your guide?

“And it shall be with him, and he shall read therein all the days of his life: that he may learn to fear the Lord his God, to keep all the words of this law and these statutes, to do them: That his heart be not lifted up above his brethren, and that he turn not aside from the commandment, to the right hand, or to the left: to the end that he may prolong his days in his kingdom, he, and his children, in the midst of Israel.” Deuteronomy 17:19-20 KJV https://bible.com/bible/1/deu.17.19-20.kjv

Is God's Word your guide?

The word of the Lord is a manual for life. It’s a critical guide for the decisions in our lives and our work. The psalmists tells us that the Word of God is a lamp unto his feet and a light unto his path. It provides guidance and protection in the immediate and helps to chart a course for the long term. In the Bible reading today, Moses was telling the Israelites that when they decide to get a king, such a person must get his own copy of the law that is with the Levites so that he can read it everyday so as not to get carried away and also so that his life and reign may be prolonged.  The question for you today is: What are you doing with the word of God that has been provided for you? Are you meditating on it? Are you leveraging it to guide your decisions? If you are struggling with connecting with the word, why don’t you ask the Holy Spirit to help you. He is the living translator. The Bible tells us that there is a spirit in man and that the inspiration of the Almighty gives him understanding.

Prayer: Dear Lord, thank you for your faithfulness and guidance always. I receive afresh the spirit of wisdom and understanding so that your word will come alive in me and guide my path in Jesus name 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾.
