Is God still with you?

“Then ye answered and said unto me, We have sinned against the Lord, we will go up and fight, according to all that the Lord our God commanded us. And when ye had girded on every man his weapons of war, ye were ready to go up into the hill. And the Lord said unto me, Say unto them, Go not up, neither fight; for I am not among you; lest ye be smitten before your enemies. And the Amorites, which dwelt in that mountain, came out against you, and chased you, as bees do, and destroyed you in Seir, even unto Hormah. And ye returned and wept before the Lord; but the Lord would not hearken to your voice, nor give ear unto you.” Deuteronomy 1:41-42, 44-45 KJV https://bible.com/bible/1/deu.1.41-45.kjv

Is God still with you?

Is God still in that assignment or endeavor? This is a very crucial question as seen in the Bible reading today. Moses in the chapter was recounting to the Israelites their journey towards to the promise and he highlighted the fact they they had come within sight of the promised land with the backing of God and that He will fight for them. However, the people’s heart were weary from the bad report that they had heard and did not trust God to deliver the land into their hands. Well, God pronounced an elongation of their journey and then at point they decided to repent and were ready to go take the land.  But Moses warned them. They were now going on their own. God was no longer in the assignment. But they would not listen and went up to fight. Of course, they were defeated and came back crying but God would not listen to them. Moses knew the importance of God’s presence so much so that he said “if your presence doesn’t go with us, we don’t want to leave this place”. God’s presence in an endeavor is the critical deciding factor of success. So, Question for you is: While he has given you the instruction previously, are you sure that he is still in the assignment? If you had previously disobeyed, seek his face in repentance and confirm that he is still in it. Else, if you go up on your own there is no telling what you might find.

Prayer: Dear Lord, thank you because you are plenteous in mercy and grace. I repent of every past act of distrust and disobedience on my assignment to destiny. Please Lord  have mercy and let your presence go with me in the assignments and endeavors of life 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾.
