Is God the Source of your Strength?
“The righteous also shall see, and fear, And shall laugh at him: Lo, this is the man that made not God his strength; But trusted in the abundance of his riches, and strengthened himself in his wickedness. But I am like a green olive tree in the house of God: I trust in the mercy of God for ever and ever.” Psalm 52:6-8 KJV https://bible.com/bible/1/psa.52.6-8.kjv

For by strength shall no man prevail says the Bible. We are also told that blessed is the person who God has chosen for his inheritance. In the Bible reading today, the psalmist paints a picture of the end of the one who trusts in his riches alone vs the person who draws from the mercy of God in his temple. We are constantly reminded that man cannot prevail by his strength alone. So the question today is: Where do you draw your strength from? How solid is your foundation? Is it in God, the creator of all and the sustainer of life of the whole universe or is in the riches that you ‘believe’ that you have acquired which may well be transient?
Prayer: Dear Lord, thank you because you are the all-sufficient God, the dependable father, the ancient of days, the Alpha and omega. I look to you afresh and I ask that you be my source, my rock and my shield because one with you will always be a majority 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾.
