Is God your guide?
“Truly God is good to Israel, Even to such as are of a clean heart. But as for me, my feet were almost gone; My steps had well nigh slipped. For I was envious at the foolish, When I saw the prosperity of the wicked. Until I went into the sanctuary of God; Then understood I their end. Surely thou didst set them in slippery places: Thou castedst them down into destruction. Nevertheless I am continually with thee: Thou hast holden me by my right hand. Thou shalt guide me with thy counsel, And afterward receive me to glory.” Psalm 73:1-3, 17-18, 23-24 KJV https://bible.com/bible/1/psa.73.1-24.kjv

Be careful of your data point. Sometimes, as children of God, we risk being tripped up in our heavenly race because we are referencing those of the world who seem to be thriving in their sin when in fact they are on the highway to destruction though appearing to enjoy the temporary pleasures. The Psalmist in the Bible reading today acknowledged how he almost slipped because he was looking at the ‘rich and comfortable’ ungodly. His deep realization came when God opened his eyes to see their end and how it ends in destruction. He understands that true gain comes from a life that is held and guided by God and whose ultimate reward is the glory that God receives such a person into. Hence, the assurance of God’s presence is critical. So question for you is: Are you guided by God or are you somewhat on the speed lane to destruction. Recall that the Bible tells us of a way that seems pleasing to man but at the end is destruction. Choose wisely.
