Is it short of Glory?

“Then Nadab and Abihu, the sons of Aaron, each took his censer and put fire in it, put incense on it, and offered profane fire before the Lord, which He had not commanded them. So fire went out from the Lord and devoured them, and they died before the Lord. And Moses said to Aaron, “This is what the Lord spoke, saying: ‘By those who come near Me I must be regarded as holy; And before all the people I must be glorified.’ ” So Aaron held his peace.” Leviticus 10:1-3 NKJV https://bible.com/bible/114/lev.10.1-3.NKJV

Is it short of Glory?

To whom much is given, much is also expected. Our God is a consuming fire and so his grace must not be taken for granted. The Bible says that many are called but few are chosen. If you have been chosen by God for one assignment or the other, which could include being an ambassador in your secular work or business for his glory, you must be careful to follow his instructions. In today’s Bible reading, we see how two sons of Aaron who were priests died because they offered a strange offering which God had not commanded.  Before you succumb to the impulse to rationalize God’s instructions and commands, please check back with the owner of the assignment. As Moses said to Aaron, God expects those who come close to him to reverence him as holy and to ensure that he is glorified before all the people. As a kingdom representative, be careful of bringing anything short of glory to God through your actions as it is a dangerous slope. He is a loving father but his honor in your lips and heart must be held in the highest regard. So as you go about your day to day activities, ask yourself: Does this bring glory to God?  When you are branded for Christ, you must ensure that your life glorifies him always.

Prayer: Dear Lord, thank you for your faithfulness always. Thank you because you are a loving father and your mercy prevails over judgement. Lord, I ask for your mercy over every past acts of careless. Help me Lord to live according to your statues. Let my life give you glory always in Jesus name 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾.
