Man's Verdict or God's standards?

“But when his disciples saw it, they had indignation, saying, To what purpose is this waste? For this ointment might have been sold for much, and given to the poor. When Jesus understood it, he said unto them, Why trouble ye the woman? for she hath wrought a good work upon me. For ye have the poor always with you; but me ye have not always.” Matthew 26:8-11 KJV https://bible.com/bible/1/mat.26.8-11.kjv

Man's Verdict or God's standards?

Man’s standard or heaven’s assessment? The Bible reading today tells the profound story of a woman of purpose whose act of service was judged as wasteful by the typical standards by which the disciples knew to measure such an act which was the fact that the expensive oil that was spent on Jesus could be sold and used to feed the poor.  However, the ultimate judge of our hearts, intents and purpose adjudged it as an excellent pass mark, one that got the woman a place in the future of the gospel of Christ because as Jesus said that everywhere the gospel will be mentioned, her actions will be me recognized as a memorial. Kingdom assignments are not to be rationalized, because there is a place for everything in the kingdom.  Paying your tithe according to God’s commandment cannot be substituted by good works to the poor. Each has its own place in God’s kingdom agenda. When God gives you a specific assignment, regardless of how men’s assessment look like, the determinant of the success of the assignment is the one who has given it. Are you seeking heaven’s endorsement on your specific assignment or bowing to the assessment of men?

Prayer: Dear Lord, thank you because you are the God that gives a vision and grants provision to deliver on the assignment. Lord I receive renewed strength to obey completely every assignment that you have given me. Let my life bring glory to your name always in Jesus name 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾. ‎
