Obedience to God's voice
”Now the LORD had said unto Abram, Get thee out of thy country, and from thy kindred, and from thy father's house, unto a land that I will shew thee: So Abram departed, as the LORD had spoken unto him; and Lot went with him: and Abram was seventy and five years old when he departed out of Haran. And the LORD appeared unto Abram, and said, Unto thy seed will I give this land: and there builded he an altar unto the LORD, who appeared unto him.“ Genesis 12:1, 4, 7 KJV https://bible.com/bible/1/gen.12.1-7.kjv

Obedience is a critical stepping stone that unlocks next levels of access, revelations and promises. In the Bible reading today, the story focuses on Abraham and the divine instruction that he received from God to make a daring move. “Come out from amongsts your family and society to a place that I will show you”. At the time all he had was the ‘What’ and ‘Why’. God had promised him to be a great nation that would be blessed by God and be a blessing to all the earth. On the strength of this, Abraham went and when he came to Canaan, God appeared to him. He had entered into a next level of access and relationship with God which the Bible tells us that continued to blossom over time to the point where he was negotiating for the destiny of a whole city with God when God was going to destroy Sodom and Gomorrah. It starts with the baby steps of recognizing God’s voice and obedience to his instructions even when the ‘How’ is not 100% clear. Your obedience is a measure of the trust that you have that God knows what he is doing. Choose wisely.
Prayer: Dear Lord, thank you for your faithfulness and vested interest in partnering with us your creation unto greatness. Lord, I look to you afresh and receive grace for complete trust and obedience to your instructions. Let me thrive in my continued walk with you in Jesus name 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾.
