Preparing for His Return?
“Be patient therefore, brethren, unto the coming of the Lord. Behold, the husbandman waiteth for the precious fruit of the earth, and hath long patience for it, until he receive the early and latter rain. Be ye also patient; stablish your hearts: for the coming of the Lord draweth nigh.” James 5:7-8 KJV https://www.bible.com/1/jas.5.7-8.kjv
“But as the days of Noah were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.” Matthew 24:37 KJV https://www.bible.com/1/mat.24.37.kjv
*He will return for His Own!!! That’s a certainty because His word says it!!!!* Hindsight is vision 2020, they say. It is often easy to look back on an event and see why it made sense that it was going to happen. Foresight is however where people struggle. Imagine us being present in the days of Noah.... I am not sure if any of us would have made the boat ride and be saved from the flood because it would look incredulous.... We have however been given some of examples from those times and even parables from the Lord Jesus that should help strengthen our beliefs. The 10 virgins waited on the arrival of the bridegroom for so long that they slept off, but the bridegroom came and the difference was in the preparedness of the wise virgins vs the foolish virgins... They had extra oil... Question today is “How are we preparing for the return of the Lord”? Have you waited long enough in your opinion that you think it’s time to go back? Or you are being a bystander waiting for the signs that it’s true before getting on board? The deep things of this world are often hidden in plain sight? So many things are happening around us today that if we take a step back, we would see the signs of the world heading towards a destruction or ultimate redemption? What have you got to lose by preparing for the redemption? The things the world calls pleasure is often sugar-coated poison... You don’t lose anything by living holy and staying away from them.... Ask the Holyspirit to help you today. He is the seal of the promise of redemption.
Prayer: Father, as I journey through this life, help me to remain focused on the end goal - to please you and be ready for your return🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾
