Seek God's Mercy
“And many charged him that he should hold his peace: but he cried the more a great deal, Thou Son of David, have mercy on me. And Jesus stood still, and commanded him to be called. And they call the blind man, saying unto him, Be of good comfort, rise; he calleth thee. And Jesus answered and said unto him, What wilt thou that I should do unto thee? The blind man said unto him, Lord, that I might receive my sight.” Mark 10:48-49, 51 KJV https://bible.com/bible/1/mrk.10.48-51.kjv

God’s mercy is a critical ingredient for breakthrough. Sometimes as children of God, we come with an entitled perspective to God and that prevents us from getting the answers that we need. In today’s Bible reading, Jesus was passing through the city of Jericho and a blind man named Bartimaeus kept calling for Jesus to have mercy on him. He did not ask for what he needed but all that he pleaded for was mercy. God’s mercy spoke for him and Jesus stopped to acknowledge him. Only after acknowledging him, did the conversation of what he really needed take place. Do you have a pressing need that you need God’s intervention on? Seek his mercy first because his mercy speaks over judgement and so even if you are a lawful captive, his mercy can intervene. Seek God’s mercy as a priority
Prayer: Dear Lord, thank you because you are the all-merciful God. Thank you because you are mindful of me. Please Lord, I come before your throne of grace to obtain mercy. Lord, please help me. Please fight my battles and let your name alone be glorified over every situation of my life in Jesus name 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾.
