Stay under God's Covering
“And Balak said unto Balaam, What hast thou done unto me? I took thee to curse mine enemies, and, behold, thou hast blessed them altogether. And Balak said unto him, Come, I pray thee, with me unto another place, from whence thou mayest see them: thou shalt see but the utmost part of them, and shalt not see them all: and curse me them from thence. Stand your guard. Our enemies do not give up easily and therefore we should not lose our guard. The Bible tells us that we wrestle not against flesh and blood but principalities and powers and spiritual wickedness in high places. Hence we must make sure that we remain secure always under the shadow of the Almighty by dwelling in the secret place of our God the Most High. In today’s Bible reading we experience the desperation of Balak in trying to curse the Israelites. Despite being disappointed by the blessings that Balaam pronounced on them. He kept changing locations and offering new sacrifices in the bid to overturn the decision. Glory to God that we have a merciful father who disappoints the devices of the crafty. This is why it’s a joy to know that he that watches us neither sleeps nor slumbers. So question for you today is: Are you fully under the coverage of the Almighty? The Bible reminds us that the one who breaks the hedge will get bitten by the serpent.
Prayer: Dear Lord, thank you because you are an awesome father who is dependable and reliable. Please Lord awaken my inner spirit to receive strength to abide in your presence always so that I can be shielded from the relentless darts of the wicked ones in Jesus name 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾.
