Surrender to God's will
“And when Balaam saw that it pleased the LORD to bless Israel, he went not, as at other times, to seek for enchantments, but he set his face toward the wilderness. And Balaam lifted up his eyes, and he saw Israel abiding in his tents according to their tribes; and the spirit of God came upon him.” Numbers 24:1-2 KJV https://bible.com/bible/1/num.24.1-2.kjv

The Bible says in the book of Leviticus that who is it that decrees a thing and it comes to pass when God has not ordained it. The Bible also tells us that God is not a man that he should lie nor the son of man that he should repent. When he says a thing, he does it and when he promises, he brings it to pass. Hence, it is a futile effort to struggle against God’s will on a matter especially when God is vested in those that the matter affects. Balaam recognized this in today’s Bible reading and so while Balak was bent on cursing Israel, Balaam stopped asking God about whether or not he could do that. God’s spirit filled him and he again prophesied victorious blessings on Israel. Are you struggling with God’s will on a topic? It is dangerous especially when God has revealed his direction on the subject. Yield to his will completely.
Prayer: Dear Lord, thank you for your faithfulness always. Thank you because you are the same yesterday, today and for evermore. You are an intentional God who knows the end from the beginning. Please help me to trust you more and more in Jesus name. Let me not wander out of your will for me in Jesus name 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾.
