The importance of a Father's blessing
“The king also said unto them, Take with you the servants of your Lord, and cause Solomon my son to ride upon mine own mule, and bring him down to Gihon: And let Zadok the priest and Nathan the prophet anoint him there king over Israel: and blow ye with the trumpet, and say, God save king Solomon. Then ye shall come up after him, that he may come and sit upon my throne; for he shall be king in my stead: and I have appointed him to be ruler over Israel and over Judah.” 1 Kings 1:33-35 KJV https://bible.com/bible/1/1ki.1.33-35.kjv

A father’s blessing and guidance are very important. In the Bible reading today, David was very old and yet another son of his - Adonijah - was attempting to take the throne for himself. He had killed animals and was making merry with those he considered key to making him king. However, the one who the king had sworn to be king after him was left out and was appearing to be short changed - Solomon. However through the right counsel, the conspiracy of Adonijah was made known to King David. In order to squash the act, David provided guidance to his trusted priests on the right steps required to make Solomon king. The pronouncement by the anointed incumbent or one of a higher authority, riding on the king’ animal, being anointed, the announcement and the actual ascension to the throne. So while the conspirators were partying, the right process was being done to make Solomon king. Are you bypassing some spiritual protocols in your quest to be ‘king’ or ‘leader’ at all cost? Retrace your steps otherwise you may be sitting on an empty seat without the right backing in the spiritual
Prayer: Dear lord, thank you for your promises over my life. Please give me the grace to wait on you until the fulfilment of my promises. Guide me in the right way to go so that I can enter in the fullness of your promises for me in Jesus name 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾
