Trusting in God's Leading

“Therefore the people came to Moses, and said, We have sinned, for we have spoken against the Lord, and against thee; pray unto the Lord, that he take away the serpents from us. And Moses prayed for the people. And the Lord said unto Moses, Make thee a fiery serpent, and set it upon a pole: and it shall come to pass, that every one that is bitten, when he looketh upon it, shall live. And Moses made a serpent of brass, and put it upon a pole, and it came to pass, that if a serpent had bitten any man, when he beheld the serpent of brass, he lived.” Numbers 21:7-9 KJV https://bible.com/bible/1/num.21.7-9.kjv

Trusting in God's Leading

Salvation and deliverance is often by choice. There are certain principles in the kingdom and while God would once in a while defy protocols to establish his divine will, it is important to note that most things follow the principles. The principles of sowing and reaping, cause and effect, voluntary salvation, etc. In the Bible reading today, in their characteristic manner, the Israelites were complaining again of the discomfort of the journey (even though the elongation of the journey was majorly self inflicted due to doubt). As a result, snakes were sent into their midst and some of them died.  They sought God for forgiveness asking Moses to pray to God to take away the serpents. Instead,God asked Moses to create the image of a serpent and whoever looked up to it was saved. It was going to be a test of faith, the problem was not eliminated but the choice to look up to the graven serpent was the route to deliverance. I can imagine that some more people still died because they were more focused on having the serpent go away than accepting the deliverance that was made available. Are you facing some challenges today and you are fixated on a certain way that you expect it to be resolved?  Take a step back, ask God into the situation and be open to the deliverance that he makes available even if it does not wear the cloths of what you would have considered a solution. Absolute trust and obedience is key to salvation.

Prayer: Dear Lord, thank you for your salvation always. Thank you for the assurance of your presence through all life’s endeavors. Please open my eyes to see the salvation that you make available and give me the courage and obedience to step into my deliverance in Jesus name 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾
