What's your sense of right vs wrong?
“And the Lord spake unto Moses, saying, Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, I am the Lord your God. After the doings of the land of Egypt, wherein ye dwelt, shall ye not do: and after the doings of the land of Canaan, whither I bring you, shall ye not do: neither shall ye walk in their ordinances.” Leviticus 18:1-3 KJV https://bible.com/bible/1/lev.18.1-3.kjv
We are in the world but not of this world. Our instructions and mode of operations as children of God are kingdom-led and inspired. In the Bible reading today, God through Moses cautions the children of Isreal against adopting the habits from the past associations from which they had been delivered He also warns of the future associations, the ones that they were likely to settle into after they have rested from the travails of their journeys. As children of God, we must remain vigilant and be careful not to adopt the subtle behaviors and habit that over time shift our sense of ‘wrong’ or ‘right’. That definition should not be based on the assessments of the those around us but only on the instructions and ordinance of our source and essence - God Almightly. So examine yourself today. What are you accepting as being ok because it is the norm when deep within you know that it does not align with God’s instructions. Our God is the same yesterday, today and forever. There is no ‘old schoolness’ in him. His words are yeah and Amen and so are his instructions.
Prayer: Dear Lord, our unchanging changer. I ask for mercy for any way in which I have deviated from your instructions for life and living. I look to you afresh for instructions. Please guide me and lead me always 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾
