What are you doing with God's word?
“Take thee a roll of a book, and write therein all the words that I have spoken unto thee against Israel, and against Judah, and against all the nations, from the day I spake unto thee, from the days of Josiah, even unto this day. It may be that the house of Judah will hear all the evil which I purpose to do unto them; that they may return every man from his evil way; that I may forgive their iniquity and their sin.” Jeremiah 36:2-3 KJV https://bible.com/bible/1/jer.36.2-3.kjv

The word of God is written for a purpose which is to ensure that those to whom it refers get a chance to do something about it. The Bible tells us that in the volume of the books is written for us. In the Bible reading today, God had asked Jeremiah to do a detailed documentation of all the words that he had received from God in the hope that some of Israelites would read it or hear it and repent. While most people who heard the instruction were repentant, the king decided to throw the scroll in the fire. This resulted to a stiffer punishment by God who still asked Jeremiah to ensure that it was all documented again. So, what are you doing with the word of the Lord that he sends in his words and through the Holy Spirit?
Prayer: Dear Lord, thank you for your mercy and kindness. Thank you for sending your word to us consistently and giving us the HolySpirit to expand it in our hearts. Please Lord, give us the boldness to come to you in repentance and live by your instruction always, in Jesus name 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾.
