The Bible warns in the Deuteronomy 8:18 that “And you shall remember the LORD your God, for it is He who gives you power to get wealth, that He may establish His covenant which He swore to your fathers, as it is this day”. It is important that we honor God always with the ‘spoils of the victory of the battles’ that he grants unto us. Often, we get carried away with the results of the gifts that we have received from God that we forget to ascribe the glory back to the giver. In the Bible reading today, it was noted that the temple was maintained out of the spoils of battle. They were intentional and dedicated a portion of it for the service of God.  Question today is: Of the many blessings and victory that God has granted you, what portion is put back into the service of the master?

Prayer: Dear Lord, thank you for the victories that you grant me always. Thank you for being my shield and my buckler. Please Lord, have mercy for any way I have neglected to honor you with the blessings that you have given in the past. Help me Lord to be disciplined in dedicating ‘the spoils of victory’ to you. Accept me Lord and accept my offering in Jesus name 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾.
