What do you ascribe to yourself?
“speak, and say, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I am against thee, Pharaoh king of Egypt, the great dragon that lieth in the midst of his rivers, which hath said, My river is mine own, and I have made it for myself.” Ezekiel 29:3 KJV https://bible.com/bible/1/ezk.29.3.kjv

Be careful of ascribing to yourself the glory that belongs to God. It sets you on a dangerous path against the one who owns the glory. The Lord says that he is a jealous God and his glory will he not share with anyone. We often fall into that trap as humans who have been enabled by God and with time start to arrogate the results to ourselves. In the Bible reading today, God was speaking to the prophet about the land of Egypt and how God was about to deal with the land because they had become so proud to the point that Pharaoh said that the land and the rivers belong to him and he had made it himself. This is very similar to people who tout themselves as being self-made. Dig deep enough and you will realize that all that you have achieved has only been because God permitted it. To say the least, he owns the breathe in your nostril. So there is no you without him. Acknowledge him today.
Prayer: Dear Lord, thank you for your word and the reminder of your supremacy. Lord I am sorry for any way that I have arrogated your glory to myself. Please have mercy Lord. I acknowledge your Lordship over my life and all. Let your mercy and Lordship continue to speak for me in Jesus name 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾.
