What is your priority? Who has the top sequence in your decision-making? God gave instructions on this topic to the Israelites as they entered into the promised land. He started by reminding that he brought them out of the land of bondage. He rescued them from captivity and watched over them to bring them into the land of promise. They were always to remember that so that they reserve the top spot of their priority for the one who is able to make and break them.  The one who lifts up and yet can put down in the blink of an eye. As a child of God who reflects deeply, I am sure that you will see the hand of God evident in the journey of your life to this point. He keeps us through the highs and lows. He sustains us through hard-pressed situations. All of this is so that he can establish his purpose for our lives for his glory. We can never pay him back for all that he has done and continues to do.  As a token though, he asks us to not have any other god before him. Not that any other god can be before him. Instead it is to ensure that we don’t leave the major to focus on the minor. A disconnection from the essence of our being as children of God is a dangerous slope. It is in our best interest to stay connected in the place of obedience making God our utmost priority. 

Prayer: Dear Lord, thank you because you are my essence and the reason for my being. I come before in total surrender and repentance for every time in the past where I have prioritized the gift over the giver, and the created over the creator. Please have mercy upon me Lord. I yield my will in total obedience to your leading. Please help me Lord to stay focused on you as the author and finisher of my faith in Jesus name 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾. ‎
