What record does heaven have about you? What is God’s report about you? In the book of Job, the Bible recorded the conversation that God had with the satan about Job, his servant in whom he was well pleased. God was showing off Job. We also see the record of God to the world at the baptism of Jesus where he announced to the world that He is his son in whom he is well pleased.  So clearly, heaven stops every once in a while to acknowledge certain righteous children of God who stand out against the odds in their generation. It is against this backdrop that we see God’s conversation with prophet Ezekiel in today’s Bible reading. God was angry because the elders and people of the land built altars in their hearts for idols and yet come to seek God. He says that when he visits his fury upon the earth, he will have no mercy on anyone.  However, what I find profound is the special mention of Job, Daniel and Noah who while God says that their presence on earth if possible would not save the world. But he said only they will be saved because of their righteousness. Their righteousness was on record in heaven to the point where they would be saved if they had been on earth no matter the nature of the destruction that was happening.  God thought very highly of them, and so much so many generations after they had come and gone. What was their qualification, absolute obedience and reverence to God in the midst of perverse people. So, what is heaven’s record of you? Do you stand out?

Prayer: Dear Lord, thank you because you are the Alpha and Omega, our beginning and end. Please Lord, I come to you laying aside all distractions and everything that is contrary to your expectations. Please accept me and purge me. Help me Lord to stand with you in complete obedience in my generation in Jesus name 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾.
