What has God placed in your hands?
“Then he answered and spake unto me, saying, This is the word of the LORD unto Zerubbabel, saying, Not by might, nor by power, but by my spirit, saith the LORD of hosts. For who hath despised the day of small things? for they shall rejoice, and shall see the plummet in the hand of Zerubbabel with those seven; they are the eyes of the LORD, which run to and fro through the whole earth.” Zechariah 4:6, 10 KJV https://bible.com/bible/1/zec.4.6-10.kjv

It’s not by power nor by might. The spirit of the Lord makes the impossible possible. Sometimes, the task ahead seems too large to tackle given our assessment of our capacity today. However, the Bible reading today reminds us not to despise the days of small beginnings because it’s a beginning regardless and the power of God drives to completion. Zerubbabel was leading the rebuilding of the temple in Jerusalem with the remnants of Israel and while the task looked daunting given their resources and the adversaries around, the assurance of heaven came to Zechariah that the work was a done deal because he will be empowered from heaven. What is that kingdom assignment ahead of you? Dare to trust God and begin and see him come through for you.
Prayer: Dear Lord, thank you because you are the one who calls a man and backs him up. You make provision for the vision. Please father, help me to connect with you so that I can receive the boldness to carry out your assignments with the inspiration and strength of the Holy Spirit in Jesus name 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾.
