What legacy are you creating?

โ€œManasseh was twelve years old when he began to reign, and he reigned fifty and five years in Jerusalem: but did that which was evil in the sight of the LORD, like unto the abominations of the heathen, whom the LORD had cast out before the children of Israel. For he built again the high places which Hezekiah his father had broken down, and he reared up altars for Baalim, and made groves, and worshipped all the host of heaven, and served them.โ€ 2 Chronicles 33:1-3 KJV https://bible.com/bible/1/2ch.33.1-3.kjv

What legacy are you creating?

What kingdom legacy are you leaving for those coming behind? So many times in the Bible days, we see fathers who served the Lord diligently but whose children went in a tangent, doing unimaginable things. One instruction God always gave to the serving generation was to pass on those instructions to those coming behind them so that they can observe to do it diligently. In the Bible reading, we see that Manasseh who was the son of Hezekiah, who had served the Lord diligently, now was rebuilding altars of idol worship that his father has pulled down. So you wonder what happened before and during the baton exchange of leadership.ย  One thing we know though is that Hezekiah had become complacent in the later days of his kingship after winning so many battles. So the question for you today is: After burning vigorously for the king of kings, are you settling in now? Are you settling to the extent that while there are stories of your service, what those who are with you now see is a resting General. Remember what happened as a result of David resting at a time when kings should have been at war. The work of God is a continuum. Donโ€™t break the chain due to poor baton transfer or cooling down of the flame.

Prayer: Dear Lord, thank you because you are the same yesterday, today and always. Thank you because your standards never change. Father, please help me to live a life of consistency and to finish well in Jesus name ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿพ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿพ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿพ.
