What will you let go?
“But Daniel purposed in his heart that he would not defile himself with the portion of the king's meat, nor with the wine which he drank: therefore he requested of the prince of the eunuchs that he might not defile himself. Now God had brought Daniel into favour and tender love with the prince of the eunuchs.” Daniel 1:8-9 KJV https://bible.com/bible/1/dan.1.8-9.kjv

The Bible tells us that all things are lawful but not all things are expedient. When was the last time that you took a stand for God? In the Bible reading today, we see how Hebrew slaves in Babylon who were given a chance to eat of the largesse from the kings table refused to be polluted by the king’s meat and wine. They did what others would probably have rationalized away. However, we see that they had an uncommon hand of God upon them as a result. They chose to be distinguished for God and God gave them distinguished results because according to the rest of the text, we learn that the king found them more knowledgeable than all the wise men and astrologers in Babylon. Make a sacrifice for God and watch the king of kings step into your situation with divine intervention.
Prayer: Dear Lord, thank you because you are the only wise God, the author and finisher of our faith. As I look up to you today please grant me the grace to take a stand for you in all that I do and let the reward of sacrifice be evident for the world to see in Jesus name 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾.
