Where do you look up to for help?

“Put not your trust in princes, nor in the son of man, In whom there is no help. His breath goeth forth, he returneth to his earth; In that very day his thoughts perish. Happy is he that hath the God of Jacob for his help, Whose hope is in the LORD his God: Which made heaven, and earth, the sea, and all that therein is: Which keepeth truth for ever:” Psalm 146:3-6 KJV https://bible.com/bible/1/psa.146.3-6.kjv

Where do you look up to for help?

The psalmist says that “I will lift up my eyes to the hills from where comes my help? My help comes from the Lord who made the heavens and the earth”. The question for you today is: Where do you look to for help? Sometimes, God brings humans into our lives to help us but as humans we then build our tent around the individual instead of the God who holds the hearts of Kings and turns it whatever direction.  The help of man outside of the direction of God is unreliable. The Bible reading today highlights the dangers of trusting in man. The promise of help of a man is only as good as the breath that is in him. However, our God is the same yesterday today and forever more. Put your trust completely in him and watch him raise help for you from unexpected quarters.

Prayer: Dear Lord, thank you for your kindness and faithfulness. Thank you because you are the ever present help in times of need. Lord, I redirect my gaze to you. Please help me like only you can in Jesus name 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾.
