The Bible tells us that those that put their trust in the Lord are like Mount Zion that shall not be moved but abides forever. This is a benefit that is critical in a world with all sorts of raging storms. In the Bible reading today, right in the midst of war and captivity, God sends his assurance to an individual about God’s deliverance being sure for him.  This is similar to the scenario where the psalmist says that a thousand shall fall by your side and ten thousand on your right hand but none of it will come near you because God who is your refuge will give his angels charge over you. So the question is: Are you dwelling in the secret place of the most High? 

Prayer: Dear Lord, thank you for being our refuge and defender. For being our present help in times of need and trouble. Please Lord I look up to you afresh. I seek to abide completely in your secret place. Please let me be shielded in the shadow of your wings in Jesus name 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾.
