Where is your trust?
“They shall be turned back, they shall be greatly ashamed, that trust in graven images, that say to the molten images, Ye are our gods.” Isaiah 42:17 KJV https://bible.com/bible/1/isa.42.17.kjv

Who do you trust? The psalmist having examined his life and his journey said that our help is in the name of the Lord and that is why he looked up to the Lord at all times as his source and guardian. The Bible tells us that those that know their God shall be strong and do exploits. However, in today’s Bible reading we are told that those who put their trust in graven images shall be greatly ashamed. This speaks to everyone who exalts the creation over the creator. Again, where do you put your trust in? The Bible asks a critical question saying “What is it that we have that we have not been given?”. It is important that you are not carried away by the achievements and accomplishments that you have received or even the sources of help that God permitted in the past. Remain focused on the ultimate source who turns the hearts of kings as he pleases. One with him will always be a majority.
Prayer: Dear Lord, thank you because you are the author and finisher of my faith. Thank you because you own the cattle on the thousand hills. Thank you for being my strength and shield. Please Lord I look to you afresh. Please guide me and lead me by your grace. Help me to be strong and do exploits to the glory of your name alone in Jesus name 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾.
