Who are you surrounded by?
“And they come unto him, bringing one sick of the palsy, which was borne of four. And when they could not come nigh unto him for the press, they uncovered the roof where he was: and when they had broken it up, they let down the bed wherein the sick of the palsy lay. When Jesus saw their faith, he said unto the sick of the palsy, Son, thy sins be forgiven thee.” Mark 2:3-5 KJV https://bible.com/bible/1/mrk.2.3-5.kjv

Delivered by association. Who is in your inner circle? The Bible says that he that walks with the wise will be wise and that the companion of fools will be destroyed. In today’s Bible reading, we see the scenarios of friends whose faith resulted in healing for their friends. They believe so much that the keys to their friend’s restoration was with Jesus that they defied every odd to get him to Jesus. They opened the roof of the building to let down their friend and as a result of their faith, not the sick man’s own, his sins were first forgiven and then he was made whole. The barrier to his restoration - sin - was first taken away and he received healing. One would wonder what the fate of this sick man would have been if his friends did not exercise that much faith on his behalf. So, again, examine your circles. Are you in the company of those that God calls wise or are you walking into destruction because your companions are fools? Remember that a fool says in his heart that there is no God. Do the acts of those around you suggests that they have no faith in God? Run as far as possible as you are probably on an express lane to destruction.
Prayer: Dear Lord, thank you because you are the only wise God. Please Lord, open my eyes to see and give me the discipline to audit my inner circle so that I can be surrounded by the wise and let my life shine forth from the wisdom of God dwelling in me and sharpened by my associations in Jesus name 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾.
