Who are you walking with?
โAnd Joram said, Make ready. And his chariot was made ready. And Joram king of Israel and Ahaziah king of Judah went out, each in his chariot, and they went out against Jehu, and met him in the portion of Naboth the Jezreelite. And Jehu drew a bow with his full strength, and smote Jehoram between his arms, and the arrow went out at his heart, and he sunk down in his chariot. But when Ahaziah the king of Judah saw this, he fled by the way of the garden house. And Jehu followed after him, and said, Smite him also in the chariot. And they did so at the going up to Gur, which is by Ibleam. And he fled to Megiddo, and died there.โ 2 Kings 9:21, 24, 27 KJV https://bible.com/bible/1/2ki.9.21-27.kjv

Be careful of the company that you keep. The Bible says that he that walks with the wise will be wise and the companion of fools will be destroyed. In the Bible reading today, we see a fulfillment of the prophecy against the house of Ahab for all the atrocities that he had committed. His son Joram was killed by Jehu at a very iconic place reminiscent of the evil his father did to Naboth. However, Ahaziah the king of Judah died by association. He was not the target, but because he was in the company of the target he partook of the evil. Be watchful of those whose company you keep. Prayerfully choose your partners in relationships and work because if not careful you may become a partaker of previous consequences due to ignoranceย
Prayer: Dear Lord, thank you for your instructions and guidance always. Please Lord, order my steps always through the help of the Holy Spirit so that I would not pitch my tent in the company of destruction in Jesus name ๐๐พ๐๐พ๐๐พ
