Beware of alliances that are in contravention of God’s instructions. They would only last for a while but will ultimately scatter or be punished. The Bible tells us that though hands join in hands, the wicked will not go unpunished but the seed of the righteous will be delivered. In the Bible reading today, the people of the earth were united in purpose around something that may have been judged a good thing. They were building a refuge for themselves but the purpose of that coalition was so that they do not disperse across the earth.  Whereas the commandment and blessing that Noah received after the flood was to increase and multiply and replenish the earth. Consolidating in one spot was contrary to that. Hence despite their unity of purpose and seeming progress, the almighty who rules in the affairs of men and sees the end from the beginning scattered them across the earth through discord in their voices. So, before you judge an alliance or proposal of unity as great, check with the one who has created you for a purpose on whether or not it is the right place for you.  Else it might be effort in futility as was the case when all the previous effort went to waste at the Tower of Babel when they were scattered. Be discerning always.

Prayer: Dear Lord, thank you because you are the almighty one who establishes your divine intent on the earth. Lord, please grant me fresh grace for discernment so that I can walk following your instructions and not be deceived into unity that is contrary to your purpose in Jesus name 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾. ‎
