Who will you choose?
“I, even I, am he that comforteth you: who art thou, that thou shouldest be afraid of a man that shall die, and of the son of man which shall be made as grass; and forgettest the LORD thy maker, that hath stretched forth the heavens, and laid the foundations of the earth; and hast feared continually every day because of the fury of the oppressor, as if he were ready to destroy? and where is the fury of the oppressor?” Isaiah 51:12-13 KJV https://bible.com/bible/1/isa.51.12-13.kjv
Who do you prioritize? Men in positions of authority or the God who enthrones one and dethrones another? The Bible tells us in the book of Matthews not to be afraid of man that can kill the body but instead to be afraid of the one that can kill the body and soul. The Bible reading today also shows God asking the same question of Israel. He was asking if they should be afraid of man than can die and forget the one who laid the foundations of the earth. Always recognize the capacity and capability of God and prioritize your relationship with him because he knows the end from the beginning, he commands times and seasons and he controls the hearts of kings. That is why the Bible tells us that when a man’s ways please God, even his enemies will be at peace with him.
Prayer: Dear Lord, thank you for your faithfulness always. Thank you because you are my rock and defender. I choose you again dear Lord. Please oppress my oppressors and show to the world that I am indeed your beloved child in whom you are well pleased 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾.
