Your action or inaction can either establish, reinforce or terminate generational blessings. In the Bible reading today, God used the sons of Rechabites to teach Isreal a lesson. Wine had been placed before them but because they had specific instructions in their lineage not to take wine, they refused despite it being offered by prophet Jeremiah under God’s instruction.  God was impressed that they kept the instructions that had been handed down to them, whereas Israel continued in their reckless living despite many warnings. As a result of their obedience, God reinforced his promise to their lineage saying there would not seize to be a man to stand before him in their lineage. The reverse was the case for Eli whose sons caused a reversal of the promise to their fathers.  In 1 Sam 2:30 God said “Far be it from me” because he says that he will only honor those that honor him. So the question for you today is: What is your contribution to your lineage’s generational blessings. Will you be the starting point, the one who gets a reinforcement or the one who terminates it. Think about your life and the generations yet unborn and choose wisely. 

Prayer: Dear Lord, thank you because you constantly establish your Covenants with those who fear you. Lord please help me through my actions to be a covenant reinforcer. Deliver me from every act of disobedience or dishonor that can result in a termination of your promises towards me and my lineage in Jesus name 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾.
