Will you choose God?
“Come near, ye nations, to hear; and hearken, ye people: let the earth hear, and all that is therein; the world, and all things that come forth of it. For the indignation of the LORD is upon all nations, and his fury upon all their armies: he hath utterly destroyed them, he hath delivered them to the slaughter. For it is the day of the LORD's vengeance, and the year of recompences for the controversy of Zion.” Isaiah 34:1-2, 8 KJV https://bible.com/bible/1/isa.34.8.kjv

Our God is such a merciful God that he often gives advance warning almost up to the point of implementation. He often offers a chance for a change of heart. Because the Bible tells us that he does not have pleasure in the destruction of sinners. We see an example of how he turned around his pronouncement upon the land of Nineveh when they responded in repentance to the warning that he sent through Jonah to them. Such is the warning in today’s Bible reading through the prophet Isaiah about the day of the Lord’s indignation. The nations were being asked to hearken and understand the implications of what was to befall them. Some of the reasons that the nations of old were punished for is now common place in our generation. We are again reminded of the coming of the Lord in the twinkle of an eye. Will you hearken to the call for righteousness and holiness so as to escape the day or indignation of the Lord? The choice is yours. Like Joshua said, choose you this day who you will serve whether the gods of the land that you dwell in, such as the priorities of the world today, or the one try living God who controls today and eternity.
Prayer: Dear Lord, thank you for your graciousness and faithfulness always. Thank you for the privilege to know you Lord. Please Lord, I come before you once more and ask for the grace to stand firm with you and to be preserved in this generation in Jesus name 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾.
