A broken and a contrite heart
“And it shall come to pass, when all these things are come upon thee, the blessing and the curse, which I have set before thee, and thou shalt call them to mind among all the nations, whither the Lord thy God hath driven thee, And shalt return unto the Lord thy God, and shalt obey his voice according to all that I command thee this day, thou and thy children, with all thine heart, and with all thy soul; And the Lord thy God will circumcise thine heart, and the heart of thy seed, to love the Lord thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul, that thou mayest live.” Deuteronomy 30:1-2, 6 KJV https://bible.com/bible/1/deu.30.1-6.kjv

A circumcised heart, free of debris and distraction is required to love God completely. In the Bible reading today, Moses tells the Israelites after presenting the blessings and curses of obedience and disobedience respectively, of the saving grace of the Lord if they return to the Lord from their wanderings. He then speaks of the need for the Lord to then circumcise their hearts in order to love him and that they may live. So, the question for you today is what represents a foreskin over your heart? An unwanted facade that prevents you from completely opening up to the love of God? Is it fear of the unknown of a surrendered life to God? Or is distractions of sin or life achievements? Why don’t you yield to God and let him carry out the circumcision for your heart that opens you up to the glory of God and life eternal.
Prayer: Dear Lord, thank you for your love for me. Please Lord circumcise my heart and empower me to love you completely and transparently basking in the glory of a life of worship 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾.
