Don’t wait for God to ‘prove’ to you that he is the Lord. The Bible tells us in the book of 2nd Peter that God is long-suffering towards us. He extends his grace because he would rather that we repent as individuals and not perish. In the midst of all that he continues to send his word to us to steer us back to him. However, when we continue in our stubborn ways especially when we idolize other things above him, he shows up to let us know who is boss.  That is a dangerous place to be because he is fierce in his fullness. Are there messages of repentance from God that you constantly ignore? Be careful. Don’t wait for him to prove that he is Lord to you like he said to Israel in the Bible reading today. He said that they would know that he was Lord after he had dealt terribly with them. Acknowledge his Lordship today before he proves it to you. 

Prayer: Dear Lord, thank you because the heaven is your throne and the earth is your footstool and yet you rule in the affairs of men. Please Lord I look to you afresh. I acknowledge that you are Lord over my life and situation. Please guide me and lead me and let the world see the evidence of a life under your divine lordship 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾.
