Acknowledgement precedes Leading

”And he said, O LORD God of my master Abraham, I pray thee, send me good speed this day, and shew kindness unto my master Abraham. And it came to pass, before he had done speaking, that, behold, Rebekah came out, who was born to Bethuel, son of Milcah, the wife of Nahor, Abraham's brother, with her pitcher upon her shoulder. And the damsel was very fair to look upon, a virgin, neither had any man known her: and she went down to the well, and filled her pitcher, and came up.“ Genesis 24:12, 15-16 KJV https://bible.com/bible/1/gen.24.12-16.kjv

Acknowledgement precedes Leading

The Bible tells us to trust in the Lord with all our hearts and not to lean on our own understanding. If we acknowledge him in all our ways he will direct our paths. Sometimes, we want to make attempts at life’s challenges before seeking out help but we are being encouraged to seek God first because he is the all-knowing God and is able to guide us to a needle in a stack of hay. Such was the case of Abraham’s servant in the Bible reading today.  He was on a mission to go get a wife for Isaac from Abraham’s kindred. When he arrived at the location, having learnt from him master, he prayed to God for direction and for a sign as evidence that God had mercy on Abraham. We are told that before he finished praying the answer to the prayer came along. What were the odds? Well, God works in uncommon and unconventional ways and establishes his own mandate if we trust him completely. Are you trusting him and asking him for help?

Prayer: Dear Lord, thank you for today. Thank you for your faithfulness always. Thank you for your mercies that endures forever. O Lord, I come before you today with the deepest questions of my heart. I ask Lord for your help to navigate life and the challenges around me. Teach me the way to go and help me to thrive to your glory in Jesus name 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾. ‎
