Always acknowledge the Lord

“And when thou sendest him out free from thee, thou shalt not let him go away empty: thou shalt furnish him liberally out of thy flock, and out of thy floor, and out of thy winepress: of that wherewith the LORD thy God hath blessed thee thou shalt give unto him. And thou shalt remember that thou wast a bondman in the land of Egypt, and the LORD thy God redeemed thee: therefore I command thee this thing to day.” Deuteronomy 15:13-15 KJV https://bible.com/bible/1/deu.15.13-15.kjv

Always acknowledge the Lord

Always remember where you came from and how far God has brought you. It gives you a continued perspective on life. In today’s Bible reading, the Israelites were being commanded on how to treat the poor and less privileged amongst them. In the excerpted text, they were guided on how to deal with the bondsmen or slaves. They were told to remember that they were also enslaved in Egypt before God redeemed them. When God brings you into a good land, it is always important to appreciate the journey to the destination. It helps acknowledge God better and to be kind to fellow journeyers.  So, do you remember where you are coming from?

Prayer: Dear Lord, thank you because you are the mighty one in battle who fights my battles and hands over victory to me. Please Lord, help me never to get carried away with the victories that I forget the lessons of battles and the journeys. Help me Lord to be a message to others in Jesus name 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾 ‎
